I know this doesn't really have anything to do with YW.

But I really wanted to share this video with you.

Maybe one of you out there need to see it to help in your families or strengthen your family.

I think it is an amazing video with a great message.

Homemade Puff Paint.

Hey girls I found this cute idea on a blog I can't for the life of me remember which one so I can give her credit but anyway here it is.

Homemade Puff Paint...

1 Tablespoon Flour

1 Tablespoon Salt

Food coloring

Water

Mix flour & salt together add food coloring to your liking add small amounts of water until you get a paint like paste that you can paint with.

Then just paint using paint brushes, Q-tips, fingers etc.

When your done painting put the picture in the microwave for 20-30 seconds & the magic will happen!

I thought this might be a fun idea for when you are babysitting or for your little brothers & sisters or nieces & nephews. (make sure you get permission from the parents first though).

My boys had a ton of fun with this!!!

You can't really see how puffy they are in this picture but they did puff up.

This Wed we are going to the Sweets Candy Co for a tour.
Here is some information that you will all need to review before we go.
This will be so much fun I am so excited I haven't been there for about 7 or 8 years but it was so much fun and sooooooo good!!!
I hope you are all planning on going we will be meeting at the church at 2:00 please don't be late & remember your permission slip!

We are pleased that you are able to visit Sweet’s Candy Company. We want your tour to be fun and safe so please read the following guidelines:

► Special Notice: We use many different nuts in our building, specifically almonds and peanuts. Please be aware of anyone in your touring party that has any nut allergies. Persons with severe allergies to even nut dust should not enter our building. Also, we use eggs, soy and milk, in some of our products. If you have allergies to any of these or other ingredients please tell us beforehand so that we can provide you with information on which products contain these ingredients.

► We ask that you remove all jewelry except for medical ID tags. This includes wedding rings and bands. It’s preferred that you leave these valuables at home.

► Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Open toed shoes, flip flogs and “wheeled” shoes are unsafe when worn in the plant.

► You will be provided with hair nets for touring the plant.

► We have free parking around our building and you may enter through our main door on the south-west corner of the building.

► You are welcome to take photos outside the building, however we ask that no cameras, cell phones, backpacks, purses, strollers or other personal items accompany you on your tour. We do have umbrella strollers you are welcome to use while touring our factory.

► Please do not bring food, drinks or gum into the factory.

► Allow an hour for our factory tour including time to shop in our factory outlet candy store.

Girls Camp 2010

So we all made it back from Girls Camp safe & sound.

I hope everyone had as good a time as I did you girls are awesome & you ROCK!

I haven't felt the spirit so strong at camp in a long time

thank you for sharing your testimonies with me & each other.

I know it's not easy but it sure helps us & you grow stronger to our Heavenly Father.

Which is what Camp is all about Right?

Not to say that there wasn't some fun & games also.

Here is a little slide show of the activity we did this last wed.

We had a combined activity with the young men.

The kids built & Launched there own rockets.

They had so much fun.

Not one rocket looked the same, a lot of concentration & thought went into most of them.

When it came time to launch there were a couple that needed minor adjustments & some had to be done over because they were lost in trees & back yards.

The kids had so much fun!

I think the girls won though we had a few of the girls rockets that went up in the air forever before coming back down.

I think this is an activity that we will be doing again. =)

Congratulations to Amy Creager 1st place & Sharon Smith 2nd place in the pie contest at the RS picnic this last wed.

YW Modesty Fashion Show

This last wed we did a princess themed Modesty Fashion Show for our achievement day girls.

Our Beautiful YW were our fashion models & we had a few of our Handsome YM as there escorts.

Our Story began with Jasmine.

She changed her immodest short shorts and belly shirts in for modest shorts & shirts so that she could be married in the Temple with her prince Aladdin for time & all eternity.

(YW modeled Modest Wedding Dresses)

Ariel traded in her bikini for a modest swim suit & made sure she only wore her flip flops for play outside & not church so she could marry her prince Eric in the Temple.

Belle had two young men to choose between for her prince.

First was Gaston she really liked him, but he wore earrings & had tattoos, his clothes were baggy & he didn't always treat her with respect & he didn't go to church.

Second was the Beast he was very respectful to Belle & others. He dressed nicely & respected himself. He was the kind of man that could take Belle to the Temple.

Of course Belle's choice was Beast!

Feona was a spunky princess she always made the right choices in her dress & if she ever had any questions she would go to her "Strength of Youth Pamphlet" it always guided her in her fashion dilemmas & gave her direction.

At the end of the show we had all of the YW come out in there daily modest clothing to show the Younger girls what it looks like to dress modestly on a daily basis.

We also briefly discussed Head Shoulders Knees & Toes with the young girls.

The night turned out to be so much fun & the YW looked & acted Beautiful.

Our Young girls look up to them so much & I am so proud of the beautiful Young Ladies that they are.

we had a cupcake bar for refreshments & it was a huge hit.

A Huge Thank You to everyone who came & participated and to all of those who helped put the show together & pull it off.

We just want everyone to know that YES mothers are more than welcome to come.
